Both of them are also top locations to start from and explore the surrounding areas and dive locations. These areas are known for amazing dives of all types, and all are with fantastic diving conditions, a great marine environment, and exciting dives. They are excellent starting points for your journey into the Red Sea.
Hurghada
I departed from Hurghada, as most liveaboards do. I took a taxi from the south of Egypt to Hurghada harbor and stayed the night there. The harbor area is quite touristed which is fine, because you can stock up on last-minute deals, including dive gear. Enjoy your last beer while watching the sunset, because you will leave the solid ground for at least a week!
